Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Paula's Palace Cleaning Company. These Terms & Conditions govern our relationship with you. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Service Provision

We agree to provide professional cleaning services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The specific scope of work will be agreed upon at the time of booking.

3. Client Obligations

To enable us to perform the services, the client agrees to:

  • Provide access to the property at the agreed time.
  • Provide running water and electricity for the duration of the clean.
  • Inform us of any specific hazards or delicate surfaces that require special care.

4. Bookings and Cancellations

Bookings are confirmed via phone or email. We understand that plans change, but as a small business, late cancellations deeply affect us. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 48 Hours Notice: Cancellations made with 48 hours notice will incur a £50 charge.
  • 24 Hours Notice (or less): Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking will be charged £100.

These fees are necessary to cover lost income and staff costs for shifts that cannot be refilled at short notice.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept Cash, PayPal, and Card payments via iZettle. For commercial clients, invoices must be settled within 7 days of the invoice date.

6. Insurance and Liability

Paula's Palace Cleaning Company is fully insured with £1,000,000 Public Liability Insurance. However:

  • We cannot be held liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or inherent defects in surfaces.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, as required by UK law.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement by providing 7 days' written notice. We reserve the right to terminate the service immediately if the working environment is deemed unsafe or if payment terms are breached.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
